For true network quality audio, our main GFRN Macon broadcast studio is equipped with a dual-processor Mac G5 using an M-Audio Delta 66 sound card. A second studio is similarly equipped. Software is Peak Pro 5.

We use a stereo Arrakis 10 channel audio console, a Sony DAT deck or Tascam MD-350 MiniDisc cart machine for taping studio actualities and ElectroVoice RE-20 broadcast mikes into Symetrix 528E Voice Processors. We utilize a Radio Systems TI-101 broadcast telephone interface for actualities.
A Sony or a Marantz digital MiniDisc recorder is used for field work. The digital audio is then fed for program distribution via the Georgia News Network satellite.
